Any long-hauler will tell you, driving can be a real pain in the neck - and back. So when Dr. Monique Headrick set up her chiropractic practice at the Cartersville, GA TA last year, she found herself inundated with patients.
"I have relatives who were drivers, so it seemed natural to open an office that would serve drivers," Dr. Headrick says. "Sitting for a long time is one of the most stressful positions for your spine, and drivers sit for hours at a time. They also get shoulder fatigue from lifting heavy objects. Chiropractic adjustment is really about maintenance, that allows drivers to be flexible and keep muscle strength."

"When Dr. Monique approached me about opening an office here in the Cartersville TA, I convinced her to try a 90-day test because I didn't want her to enter into a contract and find that she could not be successful," says general manager Jason Durrance.
That wasn't a problem. Drivers discovered Dr. Headrick right away. Within a year a new office was built for her as her business just continued to grow. She offers DOT physicals and neuromuscular massage as well as chiropractic adjustments.
"She's so popular that drivers are changing their routes to see her," Durrance says.
