Is this trailer roadworthy or not? Are you sure? An LTL hauler named David J. Sly says his device can help answer that question and reduce the chances that you'll unknowingly take out a trailer with a serious problem. The ECI — Equipment Condition Indicator — uses green, yellow and red discs inserted in a heavy-duty plastic box on the trailer's front to indicate its status. The housing also holds a clipboard and trailer documents including copies of the vehicle condition reports.
