Hyper-ventilate
With Warm Weather here and fuel still high, here are a couple of ways to be more comfortable with less idling:
- Kool-O-Matic's Model BS12AM lighted exhaust fan is an alternative to air conditioning. Installed in the roof or rear wall of your sleeper, the 12-volt unit pulls out stale "indoor" air and brings in fresh outside air. It's designed to keep out rain, bugs and drafts. Call (616) 683-2600.
- Breezeway Screens (800-548-4013, http://www.breezewayscreens.com) now offers a smaller screen for all U.S. Class 7 and 8 trucks except Volvo 1996 and older, and Ford 1995 and older. The screens let air flow in while keeping out debris and bugs.
