New Jake's in Detroit
Jacobs Vehicle Systems has introduced the new Model 790 engine brake for Detroit Diesel Series 60 engines. The Jake Brake 790 is a factory-installed option available from all vehicle manufacturers and will be available as of DDC's start of production for model year 2000. Jacobs officials say the design is simpler and more integrated, which makes it more powerful and reliable while reducing weight by a third over previous models. The 790 has several configurations to fit all current DDC Series 60 engines, as well.
