Two TAs make Travel Channel's top 10
The Travel Channel treks the world looking for "best of" places and recently ranked two TAs tops for "Best Truckstops." The Lodi TA in Ohio came in No. 1 for U.S. stops on the Travel Channel's list. Lodi's Internet connections, top-notch marble bathrooms, the contemporary building design and Starbucks were featured as placing the Lodi TA best of the U.S. The TA Iowa 80 Truckstop also made the list, coming in at No. 7 for U.S. stops. The show featured the Iowa 80 Kitchen, with its 50-foot salad bar, the fireplace and leather chairs in the drivers' lounge and the Trucker's Warehouse Store. Check out one of these top-ranking TAs the next time you're on the road.
More Wireless Products Coming to TAs
TravelCenters of America has teamed up with mobile electronic product provider Interstate Connections to open 67 point-of-sale retail locations over the next year.
Interstate Connections offers satellite TV, wireless telephones, satellite radio, PDA technology, bill-paying services and wireless accessories. Look for Interstate Connection kiosks to start opening their first locations soon."TA is very optimistic about the new relationship with Interstate Connections," said Lloyd Sanford, TA's director of merchandising. "This program allows us the opportunity to offer our core customer, the professional driver, products and services that would otherwise be difficult for us to market."
Western Union Now at TA
The Next time you need to send money to family or friends, you won't have to look any farther than your nearest TA. Western Union has teamed up with TravelCenters of America to offer their money transfer services at select TA locations.
