Midnight Trucking Radio Network grows

Whether you're behind the wheel or just can't sleep, you've likely tuned in to the Midnight Trucking Radio Network.

The national source of information, thoughts and opinions of the American Truck Driver, which is broadcast midnight – 5 a.m., seven days a week, has expanded its coverage with the addition of stations WWL 870 AM out of New Orleans, La., and KXEL 1540 AM out of Waterloo, Iowa. These 50,000-watt channels join:

  • WBAP (820/AM) in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas;
  • WJR (760/AM) in Detroit, Mich.;
  • KRVN (880/AM) in Lexington, Neb.;
  • KBOI (670/AM) in Boise, Idaho;
  • KTNN (660/AM) in Window Rock, Ariz.;
  • KGA (1510/AM) in Spokane, Wash.;
  • WXGI (950/AM) in Richmond, Va.;
  • KDRK (93.7/FM) in Spokane, Wash.;
  • KFEQ (680/AM) in St. Joseph, Mo.;
  • WJMS (590/AM) in Ironwood, Mich.;
  • KERN (1410/AM) in Bakersfield, Calif.;
  • KJCE (1310/AM) in Austin, Texas;
  • KKNS (1310/AM) in Albuquerque, N.M.;
  • WNOG/WINK (1270/AM) in Fort Myers, Fla.;
  • KDHL (920/AM) in Faribault, Minn.

"While most networks focus on quantity with smaller signals, our approach is quite different," says Mindy Baker-Herring, Marketing Director for The Midnight Trucking Radio Network. "Blanketing the U.S., Canada and Mexico through 50,000-watt AM signals is the key to our success. A driver does not want to have to change the dial to stay with a program. With our coverage, they are guaranteed one dial position for their entire route, anywhere in North America as well as parts of Canada and Mexico."
