A new portable satellite radio system designed for long-haul truck drivers has been introduced by Pana-Pacific and Sirius.
Called Streamer, the system connects with existing in-dash radios or home stereo amplifiers to pull in the Sirius satellite signal. Streamer displays the song title, time, artist and Sirius stream name and number simultaneously so that drivers know at a glance what they're listening to. The large knob and buttons are designed to be operated by drivers even with gloves on. There's also a feature called Song Seek, which alerts users when their favorite songs are playing on Sirius music streams.
Streamer is designed to move easily from the truck to home, car or boat with available adapter kits. It is available at participating TravelCenters of America.
