Everyone knows that it's rude to eat and run, but when you're a professional truck driver, it's a part of the job. In fact, many times drivers skip meals or eat whatever's fast because they're on such tight time constraints.
An exciting new program at the TA in Lodi, Ohio offers drivers added convenience, more choices, and a way to save time. It's called Country Pride To Go, and allows drivers to place a Country Pride Restaurant food order while they're fueling. The order is entered using touch-screen kiosks that have been installed at each fuel island. Once the order is entered, the food is prepared while the driver is fueling. After fueling, drivers go inside the restaurant to pick up and pay for the food, which is prepared to go. Drivers get the quality meal they want without the wait.
"Drivers told us they prefer our food when they're in a hurry, but they don't always have time for a sit-down meal," says Rick Pavia, TA restaurant marketing specialist. "Country Pride To Go is a fast and easy way for drivers to get the food they want ... to go." The items available include most breakfast, lunch and dinner selections found on the regular Country Pride menu along with a few special items.
The reaction from drivers has been very positive. "They're telling us that it's very easy and it saves them time," Pavia says. So the next time you're in Lodi, try Country Pride To Go. And don't worry, we won't think you're rude when you have to eat and run.
