Months of hard work paid off for the staff of the Woodstock TA, the first Canadian location for TravelCenters of America, which won the third annual Service Cup contest that recognizes the TA restaurant with the best customer service.
The 120 employees celebrated with a pizza party and cake, and restaurant employees got new shirts and pins boasting of their designation as top customer service provider. "This was the first TA event we were able to participate in, so we gave it our all," says Brenda Powell, general manager of the TA at Provincial Highway 401, Exit 230. The Woodstock TA joined the TA family in 2003.
To win the impressive Service Cup trophy, Woodstock staff had to get the most votes from restaurant customers and achieve a score of 87 or higher on "Tell Us About Us," TA's online and phone-based guest satisfaction survey program.
