Foam Fighter
The law requires us to carry UL approved fire extinguishers. But most of them use dry chemical, a powder so fine it easily passes through any air filter. Putting out a simple under-hood fire can mean a full engine tear-down. Kidde has a new line of aqueous foam extinguishers. Although it's not UL-approved at press time, Kidde says the foam is superior on oil and gasoline, flammable liquids, electrical fires, wood, paper and cloth. The foam washes away without leaving any harmful residue. You could carry a regular extinguisher for DOT, and a Kidde Fire Out Foam for emergencies. See http://www.kidde.com for more info.
