Copy on the Road
The DocuPen is a compact way to copy a full page of text and graphics in just 4 seconds. Instead of having to photocopy receipts, contracts, maps or other important documents, you can scan and store them in the DocuPen, which works on tiny 1.55-volt coin cell batteries. The DocuPen can store as many as 50 pages at 200 dpi resolution, ready to be downloaded later to a PC and printed out. You can use it on newspaper or magazine articles, pages of books, notes or even blueprints.

Something's Fishy
For those times you don't want to be alone in the bathroom, here's a wacky solution. The Aquariass is a fully functioning aquarium that fits American Standard toilet bowls. The fish tank is divided with a partition, so you don't have to restock each time you flush. The made-to-order conversation-starter doesn't come cheap: $1,500, which doesn't include the fish.

Easy Listening
If you have trouble deciphering a fellow truck driver's voice over the white noise of your CB radio, here's your chance for a serious upgrade. The new Fire Fox Sportsman Throat Mic allows you to speak clearly to other drivers without hearing the distracting background noise that accompanies most other radio communication. The microphones were originally developed for fighter pilots. You can hook up the Throat Mic to your existing radio without having to purchase any additional equipment, and with a weight of only 2 ounces, you can wear this easy-traveling device the entire time you're on the road.
Price: Around $30
To Buy: Online at www.firefoxtech.com

Tiny Keyboard For Text Messaging
The reason most of us don't send text messages more often is the hassle of spelling words with a traditional telephone keypad. Enter the Fastap, a new hardware and software design that adds all the keys of a computer keyboard to a normal cellphone, without increasing the size. Fastap technology has already been licensed to FutureCom Global and should appear on wireless phones this year.

Mirror, Mirror...
It's not magic, but mirrors, that lets the Forward View Mirror help you see what's causing a traffic slowdown, even if you're behind 10 other trucks. The Forward View Mirror uses two mirrors that face each other, with the forward looking one pointed on an angle up the road. A driver can easily see traffic problems developing ahead, without having to veer in and out of the driving lane.
