This year's convoy takes place September 18 in almost 30 states and Alberta, Canada. It's estimated that nearly 5,000 trucks will take part.

Truckers donate $100 to take part in the convoy, with the funds raised going to Special Olympics, an international organization dedicated to empowering individuals with mental retardation to become physically fit, productive and respected members of society.
