Take a Coffee Break in Kansas

Just about halfway between Kansas City and Wichita, in the eastern portion of the Great Plain state of Kansas, lies Beto Junction.

It's not a town, although it offers all the services of a community. At the Beto Junction TA, you'll find a fully stocked travel store, plenty of food choices, and services for your big rig.

"We're 7 miles from the nearest town, which is Lebo, but we still have lots of locals who come to our restaurant," says Sean Williams, assistant manager at the Beto Junction TA.

What draws the locals, regulars and newcomers is the Beto Junction Restaurant, which features a buffet and full menu of homestyle favorites. The restaurant is also known for its giant cinnamon rolls, which are guaranteed to get your day off to a gooey start.

There's also a Wendy's for those looking for a faster food choice. And the travel store has plenty of options from beef jerky to power bars to fuel you on your ride.

The Beto Junction TA is also a good place for drivers to stop and rest, with a driver's lounge, a game room that's popular with truckers, and a laundry room.

If you need to take care of business, Beto Junction has Cat weigh scales, Freightliner ServicePointSM and Pronto! Pay®, as well as diesel satellite pumps. The site also offers emergency road service.

"Everyone here is real friendly," says Williams. "We're like a family and we make sure to take care of our customers."
