When Vince Westhoven retires from being store manager of the Harrisburg TA at the end of this year, he'll still spend his days watching long-distance travelers.
But instead of truckers, Westhoven hopes to be viewing birds. It's one of the hobbies he plans to devote more time to when he leaves TA after 26 years.
"I've always liked bird-watching," Westhoven says. "We've been trying for years to nest bluebirds in our yard, and this year we were successful for the first time."
The pace should be a bit more relaxing than it has been at the Harrisburg TA, where Westhoven has held positions ranging from the shop manager to the fuel manager.
Be sure to wish Westhoven well if you stop in at Harrisburg.
