WE GOT OURSELVES A CONVOY (AGAIN)

C.W. McCall rides again with Barr-Nunn

In the '70s, he started a nationwide sensation with his song "Convoy."

Now, C.W. McCall is returning to the trucking industry as marketing personality for Granger, Iowa-based trucking company Barr-Nunn Transportation Inc.

"I'm excited to be a part of the trucking industry again and am proud to work with a company as reputable as Barr-Nunn," says McCall, who can be heard in the company's radio commercials on XM Satellite radio.

Since his success with "Convoy," McCall, whose real name is Bill Fries, has produced several albums with his band "The Fort Calhoun Nuclear Power Plant Boys."

"We feel C.W. McCall identifies with the driving population and can help attract owner-operators and company drivers to the Barr-Nunn convoy," says Doug Albrecht, Barr-Nunn's director of recruiting.
