TA ADDS MORE SITES

Expands network of places to stop, fuel, rest, repair

TravelCenters of America is expanding its network of travel centers, adding 13 locations nationwide. That brings to 162 the number of TA locations across the U.S. and Canada.

  • The most significant addition came with the acquisition of Rip Griffin's 11 full-service travel centers in Texas, California, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Wyoming and Arkansas.

"With a complete array of travel center amenities, such as truck repair shops, large parking lots, well-appointed travel stores and clean dining facilities, Rip Griffin's centers will strengthen our network's ability to serve fleets, professional drivers and motorists alike," said Ed Kuhn, chairman of TravelCenters of America.

  • TA added an existing full-service travel center in Florence, S.C. to its growing network. Located on I-95 and Highway 52 at Exit 164, the site offers approximately 70 truck parking spaces. Watch for other amenities and services to be added.

  • Additionally, TA signed a new franchise operator at the site in Wapokaneta, Ohio off I-75 at Exit 11.
